I first made Kimberly Snyder's glowing green smoothie while in college years ago and loved how refreshing it was. While I don't follow hers to a tee (you can find her recipe here), I've been making this rendition for the past few years probably about once a week, and it is something that I always look forward to - filling, fueling, and delicious. Be sure to eat on an empty stomach, as it digests quickly!
Serves 1
2 handfuls spinach
1 handful chopped romaine
1 cup chopped celery
1/2 an apple (I love fuji)
1/2 banana
1 oz fresh squeezed lemon juice
2 cups cold water
Add all ingredients to a blender (in the order they're written out - will help it blend better!) and blend until smooth. Enjoy!
